Good Friday means business as usual for volunteers

Volunteers at Worswick Welcome

The dedicated volunteers who run Worswick Welcome in Newcastle will be opening the drop-in doors as usual on Good Friday.

The Worswick Welcome drop-in café, held in the church hall at St Andrew’s Church in Worswick Street, provides food and refreshments for some of the most disadvantaged people in the area, including those who are homeless.

Despite the Bank Holiday date, the volunteers recognise that many people will still depend on the drop-in and they will be on hand to offer their usual welcoming, friendly service.
