A lunch club in Blackhall has brought a new dimension to a life-long friendship and companionship to many others who have felt so alone.

A group of three, life-long friends are enjoying the expanded friendship group they have found among their fellow guests and volunteers at St Joseph's Lunch club and now, not only to they enjoy eating a freshly prepared lunch together, they have lots of new things to chat about.

As well as bringing a new spark to their own friendship, however, others are joining their circle and sharing in conversation, fun and laughter together, which has often been missing from their lives.

"There's so much laughter when we have Bingo and the quizzes," said volunteer, Ann Hearn, "it's an absolute tonic!"
