Burns Night delayed to share celebrations together

Open House volunteers in the kitchen

The close friendship between volunteers and guests at Bedlington Open House recently saw plans for a small Burns Night celebration turn into one big party.

When the volunteers started planning a small house party together to mark the special occasion, they soon agreed that it wouldn't be right to celebrate without all their regular guests and friends at Open House. So, although it meant a bit of a delay, the great Robbie Burns was honoured with a true sense of togetherness, albeit a few days late.

Parish priest, Fr Chris was delighted to be asked to address the haggis which had been lovingly prepared by volunteer, Martin Gales and was served with neeps and tatties, of course!
