Birthday joy for all at lunch club

Holy Cross Lunch Club helped make a special day even more special for one if its regular guests recently.

Birthday girl, Mrs Mary McCloskey, was surprised with a beautiful bunch of roses and a celebration cake as everyone at the lunch club joined in to mark her big day.

Volunteer Joan Johnson said, "There's often a birthday to celebrate at our lunch club and it brightens everyone's day, not just the person whose birthday it is. We all enjoy making each other happy – and are quite partial to the odd slice of birthday cake, too!"
