Members of Ponteland Rotary Club have excelled themselves again with their generous support for our 5p Bus Toy Appeal.

Every year as Christmas approaches, Rotary Club member, Frank Ford organises a collection amongst his fellow-members resulting in hundreds more toys for our appeal.

A number of the club members even store the toys until our 5p Bus can pick them up and distribute them to families who are struggling to make ends meet around the region.

"So many children in the north east are able to open a gift on Christmas morning only because of the kind response we have to our toy appeal," said Community Services Manager, Kathleen Urwin. "We are extremely grateful to Ponteland Rotary Club for their thoughtful, continuing support”

If you'd like to support our 5p Bus Toy Appeal you can drop off any brand new toys or gifts at our Head Office in Newcastle or at the 5p Bus depot at Holy Cross Nursing and Residential Care Home on Ettrick Grove in Sunderland. Contact Iris Boyd for more information on 0191 228 0111.
