A new PACE project opened its doors for the first time in Stakeford, Northumberland, on Tuesday 28 February. Open House, aims to provide a relaxed and friendly meeting place for local people; giving a chance for a weekly catch up while enjoying a cup of tea, alongside opportunities to make new friends and take part in activities such as bingo, dominoes and quizzes.

Held at Holy Family Church on Riversdale Avenue, the project will take place every Tuesday between 2pm and 4pm and is run by local volunteers with support from St Cuthberts Care. The afternoon costs just £2 per person and accompanying carers are welcome free of charge.

Anyone who would like to come along can contact Pat Batch on 01670 852989 or can drop in any Tuesday. Alternatively, if you are interested in setting up a project in your parish, or finding out more about PACE please contact Kathleen Urwin by email: kathleen.urwin@stcuthbertscare.org.uk or by calling: 0191 228 0111.
