Trip out a treat for Open House guests

July 2012

Guests from St Bede's Open House in Bedlington recently enjoyed a fish and chip supper and a game of bingo in Amble. Volunteers organised the trip out as a treat for their regular guests and a good night was had by all. Everyone was particularly grateful for the hospitality shown by members of Amble parish who opened the parish hall for their use while they were there.

Open House runs on donations and the small cover charge paid by guests each week, yet the skills of the volunteers and the additional support received from the local community means they are sometimes able to enjoy the odd little luxury.

If you or someone you know would benefit from attending St Bede's Open House or if you would like to know more about joining the team of volunteers at Open House in Bedlington, please ring Fr Hughes on 01670 823 258.
