Sweet treat on the 5p Bus

March 2012

Donor with some of the eggs donated

Shoppers on St Cuthberts Care's 5p Bus service will be able to pick up an egg-stra special bargain this Easter thanks to a donation of 50 chocolate eggs.

Kind-hearted parishioners of Our Lady and St Wilfrid's, Blyth pulled together to collect Easter eggs specifically for the 5p Bus to help those in need around the region.

The 5p Bus team were blown away by the fantastic efforts, Community Services Manager Kathleen Urwin said: "We're extremely grateful for the donation. It will make a huge difference for those local parents and grandparents who otherwise may not have been able to offer Easter treats to their children."

The fantastic donation of eggs has already started to make their journey around homes in the North East on the 5p Bus.
