A massive thank you to the team of staff from Lloyds Private Banking who recently helped our 5p Bus to spread a little Christmas joy.

Over the last few weeks, the eight Advice Managers have been collecting a range of toys and gifts to support our 5p Bus Toy Appeal. All of the generous gifts will go directly to families throughout the North East who are struggling to make ends meet.

“Christmas time can become an overwhelming burden to those families who are already struggling to make ends meet”, said Fundraising Manager, Nicola Milne. “Thanks to the generosity of the team from Lloyds more children will wake up to a gift on Christmas morning”.

The team also spent the day preparing and sorting hundreds of donations to ensure the 5p Bus is fully stocked throughout December, which will be busier than ever.

“We're very fortunate that we work for an employer that allows us to give a day to help worthy causes," said Fay Rutterford, one of the team members from Lloyds Private Banking who helped out. "It has been very humbling spending the day with the 5p Bus and making a contribution to their valuable work.”.

The 5p Bus will be out on the road right up to Christmas Eve distributing warm clothes, toys and food parcels to those in most need.
