We'd like to pass on our thanks to the Killingworth Knit 'n' Knatter group who have kindly donated lots of beautiful hand-crafted, cosy woollies to our 5p Bus.

The group of women have been hard at work knitting and crocheting for charities and good causes and four boxes of gorgeous items were delivered specifically for people in need who use our 5p Bus.

A letter from Hilary Ottey, on behalf of the group, said, "Our motto is 'Helping Ourselves by Helping Others' and while we all have our problems and health issues, we know there are others much worse off. We are pleased to send you these hand-knits and hope you are able to distribute them to your customers via the 5p Bus."

5p Bus Manager, Iris Boyd, added, "Every item will be gratefully received by families who rely on our 5p Bus for warm clothing. I'd like to thank each and every member of the Knit 'n' Knatter group for their kindness and support for our charitable work."
